2019 Benefits Reminders
New Insurance ID Cards
Monitor your mail for new insurance ID cards to arrive. You will receive a new ID card from CVS for your prescription needs and Florida Blue for your medical needs. Prescription coverage changes to CVS on January 1. For 30-day or less prescriptions visit any pharmacy within the CVS network (includes Walgreens & Publix). For 90-day prescriptions visit a CVS pharmacy or sign up for delivery through CVS. If you have questions or need help transferring prescriptions, call CVS at 844.278.5590.
If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and/or Dependent Care Account (DCA), monitor your mail for a new debit card to arrive from Medcom. Funds from multiple accounts are accessible on the same debit card. If you would like a second card call Medcom at 800.523.7542, Option 1 or fax a Dependent Card Request Form to Medcom at 877.723.0149.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will transition from New Directions to Morneau Shepell on January 1. EAP is a free service to help resolve life/work issues and includes 6 counseling visits per family member per year. Beginning January 1, 2019. call Morneau Shepell 24/7 at 888.293.6948. Holidays & Vacation Hours
The Board of County Commissioners approved December 31, 2018 as an additional holiday so the County’s recognized holidays this year will be December 24, 25 and 31 as well as New Year’s Day January 1, 2019. If you have any questions, please contact your supervisor or department timekeeper.
2018 Vacation Rollover
The vacation rollover deadline for 2018 is the last pay period of the calendar year which started this week (December 2 – December 15) for the pay check dated December 21. As you plan for the upcoming holiday season, please remember that the cut off for vacation rollover is December 15 and any balance over 240 hours will be swept at that time.
Charitable Donation Program
The County offers a Charitable Donation program allowing vacation leave donations to the United Way of St. Johns County. Donations are taxed consistent with IRS regulations and all funds donated remain in St. Johns County. If you are interested in participating, you may donate up to 24 hours of vacation leave to the local St. Johns County United Way. Charitable donation form available on the County Intranet.
1st Quarter FY 19 Mandatory Safety Training Ends December 19
There are two final dates for “Stop the Bleed” training: December 13, and 19. If you haven’t already registered and attended your training, please visit the Training & Education calendar on the County Intranet to register for the class of your choice.
BENEBiTS | An Interactive Benefits Workshop
Want to learn about tips & tools available to help you get the most out of your benefits? BENEBiTs is a series of interactive workshops highlighting different topics each session. Join your Benefits Team on January 8 or 22 from 12pm to 1pm at the Training & Education Center in County Administration. Covered topics for these sessions will include: Florida Blue, CVS, Humana and Medcom. Bring your insurance cards and smartphone with you. Sign up via the Training Calendar on the County Intranet.
Employee Caregiver Support Group
Caregiving may be one of the most important roles you ever take on in your life. No matter where you are in the continuum of caregiving - starting to plan, helping to coordinate a big move, or already taking care of a family member - having support may make this process easier.
