Do you dream of completing your college degree?

If you are a public sector professional who has dreamed of pursuing your bachelor’s degree, now is the time. Flagler College's Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration program is designed just for you. The program is structured to accommodate the working professional. Classes are offered two evenings per week and four Saturdays per semester. Full-time students enroll for 12 hours per semester and complete the program in five semesters. Accelerated Masters Degree and Bachelors Degree Programs

Accelerated Masters Degree Program - This is designed as a professional development program for adult learners with a focus on the administration of public, nonprofit, and other organizations that serve a public purpose. 12 classes, GRE/MAT’s waived, Accelerated 8-week terms, Personalized academic and financial aid counseling. Accepting applications for Summer 2017 (Jacksonville).

Bachelors Degree Program - Application Fee is waived. Qualifying full time students can earn (up to) 30 credits through the Portfolio Program. Classes begin May 30, 2017.

Online Training and Education Resources

St. Johns County Public Library Learning Express - In addition to many free online information databases, they offer the free, easy to access, Learning Express Library online. The LEL provides online practice for many standardized tests, including GED, SAT, ACT, and certification tests that many County Employees need as part of their ongoing employment or career development. Visit www.sjcpls.org and use the search box to find the test you wish to prepare for. You can also save your information by creating a personal account.  All you need is your St. Johns County Library card to sign in.  

 

EdX offers interactive online classes and MOOCs from the world’s best universities, colleges and organizations. Online courses from MITx, HarvardX, BerkeleyX, UTx and many other universities can be taken here. Topics include biology, business, chemistry, computer science, economics, finance, electronics, engineering, food and nutrition, history, humanities, law, literature, math, medicine, music, philosophy, physics, science, statistics and more. EdX is a non-profit online initiative created by founding partners Harvard and MIT. www.edx.org
 

Coursera - Free online classes from 115+ top universities and educational organizations. They partner with schools like Stanford, Yale, Princeton, and others to offer world-class courses online, for anyone to take, for free. You learn on your own schedule. Watch short video lectures, take interactive quizzes, complete peer graded assessments, and connect with fellow learners and instructors. University of the People (UoPeople) is a non-profit, tuition-free, accredited online university. Dedicated to opening access to higher education globally, UoPeople is designed to help qualified high school graduates overcome financial, geographic, social, and personal constraints keeping them from collegiate studies. The University currently offers two-year Associate and four-year Bachelor degree programs in Business Administration and Computer Science, with additional programs in planning stages.  University of the People

St Johns River State College has an online instruction center that offers a wide range of courses that you can take entirely over the Internet. Their courses include expert instructors, and are affordable, fun, fast, and convenient. SJR State's Open Campus offers a variety of credit and non-credit programs including child care training, continuing education courses, contract customized training for business and industry, distance learning courses, dual enrollment courses, the Educator Preparation Institute, non-credit job enhancement courses, and non-credit recreation and leisure courses.  Online Instruction Center

 

Tuition Reimbursement Program

While paying for employees' college costs can be expensive, our tuition-reimbursement program is an effective way to retain good workers. It fosters job satisfaction, improves productivity and contributes to our overall success. SJC may pay up to $1000 per fiscal year for employees seeking further education.
