If you are a public sector professional who has dreamed of pursuing your bachelor’s degree, now is the time. Flagler College's Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration program is designed just for you. The program is structured to accommodate the working professional. Classes are offered two evenings per week and four Saturdays per semester. Full-time students enroll for 12 hours per semester and complete the program in five semesters.

Several forms of financial aid are available, and Florida residents who have not previously earned a bachelor’s degree should qualify for the Florida Resident Access Grant (FRAG). The Public Administration Program’s total tuition charges for full-time students who qualify for the FRAG is $600 for the entire academic year. Flagler College Public Administration Program.

Accelerated Degree Programs

Barry University currently offers a discount for all those working in Public Safety including their spouses and dependents.

Accelerated Masters Degree Program - Application Fee is waived. This is designed as a professional development program for adult learners with a focus on the administration of public, nonprofit, and other organizations that serve a public purpose. 12 classes, GRE/MAT’s waived, Accelerated 8-week terms, Personalized academic and financial aid counseling.

Bachelors Degree Program - Application Fee is waived. Qualifying full time students can earn (up to) 30 credits through the Portfolio Program. Qualifying full time students can earn up to 30 credits through our Portfolio Program.

Tuition Reimbursement Program

While paying for employees' college costs can be expensive, our tuition-reimbursement program is an effective way to retain good workers. It fosters job satisfaction, improves productivity and contributes to our overall success. SJC may pay up to $1000 per fiscal year for employees seeking further education. Employees MUST apply for this benefit PRIOR to registration to ensure funds are available. Continuing Education policy

Online Training and Education Resources

St. Johns County Public Library Learning Express - In addition to many free online information databases, they offer the free, easy to access, Learning Express Library  with online practice for many standardized tests, including GED, SAT, ACT, and certification tests that many County Employees need as part of their ongoing employment or career development. Visit www.sjcpls.org and use the search box to find the test you wish to prepare for. All you need is your St. Johns County Library card to sign in.

EdX offers interactive online classes and MOOCs from the world’s best universities, colleges and organizations. Online courses from MITx, HarvardX, BerkeleyX, UTx and many other universities can be taken here. Topics include biology, business, chemistry, computer science, economics, finance, electronics, engineering, food and nutrition, history, humanities, law, literature, math, medicine, music, philosophy, physics, science, statistics and more. EdX is a non-profit online initiative created by founding partners Harvard and MIT. www.edx.org

Coursera - Online classes from 115+ top universities and educational organizations. They partner with schools like Stanford, Yale, Princeton, and others to offer world-class courses online at significantly discounted rates or free. You learn on your own schedule. Watch short video lectures, take interactive quizzes, complete peer graded assessments, and connect with fellow learners and instructors. University of the People (UoPeople)  is the first non-profit, tuition-free, accredited online university. Dedicated to opening access to higher education globally, UoPeople is designed to help qualified high school graduates overcome financial, cultural, geographic, political, and personal constraints keeping them from collegiate studies. The university currently offers two-year associate and four-year bachelor’s degree programs in Business Administration, Computer Science, and Health Science as well as an MBA program.University of the People

St Johns River State College has an online instruction center that offers a wide range of courses. The courses have expert instructors and are affordable, fun, fast, and convenient. SJR State's Open Campus offers credit and non-credit programs including child care training, continuing education courses, contract customized training for business and industry, distance learning courses, dual enrollment courses, the Educator Preparation Institute, job enhancement courses, and recreation and leisure courses. Toastmasters
The San Sebastian Toastmasters meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Our club is specifically for St. Johns County employees.
