Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program's "Limited Waiver" Period
Student loan debt has grown exponentially over the past decade and become a critical financial burden for many Americans. The Department of Education’s Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) is a program that provides full forgiveness of student loan debt to employees working with a Qualified Employer (QE), including government organizations after 10 years of service or 120 qualifying payments. For a limited time, borrowers may receive credit for past payments made on loans that would otherwise not qualify for PSLF during the time in which they have been working for a QE. In the past, student loan borrowers working toward PSLF have struggled to navigate the program’s complex rules and requirements. However, this limited waiver of specific PSLF program requirements through October 31, 2022, expands the program to more borrowers than ever before. Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
2023 Wellness Premium Incentive (WPI) – Deadline to participate 9/30
Under the WPI program, employees and spouses enrolled in the St. Johns County Medical Plan are eligible for an insurance premium credit simply by completing an annual wellness exam at a physician’s office between October 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022. Voluntary completion of the wellness exam is automatically reported by Florida Blue, so verification forms are only necessary for new hires and life events. If you have already completed your wellness exam at a physician’s office, you will receive confirmation of participation prior to open enrollment that you have earned the WPI for 2023. If you and/or your spouse are not currently enrolled, but plan to join for 2023 as part of Open Enrollment in October please email StJohnsWell@mbaileygroup.com. More about the Wellness Premium Incentive.
